Trading domes of Bukhara

Trade domes in Bukhara - Toki, which means covered market in Central Asia. Most trade in Bukhara took place at the intersection of large paths. For the convenience of merchants and buyers in the 16th century during the rule of the Sheybanids, four multi-dome structures were built that created shade and coolness. To this day, trade is conducted under the domes, but the trade specialization of each dome has already changed. Up to now only 4 trade domes have been shattered.

  1. Toki Sarrofon - where usury and foreign exchange operations took place. In addition, you could buy skullcaps, turbans, necklaces, earrings, dishes and much more.
  2. Toki Telpak Furushon - could buy luxurious hats: skullcaps, turbans and fur hats.
  3. Toki Zargaron - under this dome were mainly made and sold jewelry, but part of the bazaar was used as an ordinary bazaar, where various accessories were sold.
  4. Tim Abdullahan traded carpets and fabrics here.
